Graduation in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (1973), Master in Science in Ocean Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1978) and Philosophy Doctor in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University (1990). Associate Professor of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Experience in the area of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, particularly in Ship and Ocean Systems Design, acting mainly in: high performance craft, offshore platforms and conventional ship conceptual design, development of methodologies and computational design programs. Participated and/or (mainly) coordinated more than 90 marine designs. Has coordinated a laboratory of design for ship construction.
