Prof. José Otávio Goulart Pecly
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in1988, an M.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2000, and a D.Sc. degree in Ocean Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2008. He is presently a Professor of Coastal & Oceanographic Engineering at COPPE/UFRJ. He has experience in Civil Engineering, with emphasis on the Application of Fluorescent Tracers, Instrumentation and Hydrometeorological Measurement Systems. He works in Ocean Engineering in the areas of Instrumentation, Oceanographic Data Acquisition Systems, and Data Analysis supporting best practices in observing, mainly in coastal and estuarine waters.
