Graduated in Naval Architecture(1985) and Master (1990) in Ocean Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and doctorate from the University of London (1994). Full Professor of the Ocean Engineering Program at COPPE / UFRJ in the area of Ocean Structures and Subsea Systems.
